I've been thinking about trials alot lately. Maybe because of the lesson we had on Sunday, and preparing for that, maybe because, I have had my share, some self inflicted, some, Heavenly Father just saw fit to give me. But, none the less, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on the matter, for my on My Mind Monday.Do you look at some people and wonder what makes them happy? Do you just figure that some people have just been handed a good life? I know from experience, no one has been handed a perfect life, some people have been given different trials, but no one has it "easy". In the end, the result of how we handle our trials, accounts for our happiness. Our out look on life reflects what we see when we look inward.
no one has a life free from adversity "If life were easy, it wouldn't be hard" We have been given trials 1) for the experience 2) to grow and strengthen and 3) so others may benefit from our experiences as we share them, and they see us over come them.
Our trials help us know ourselves, and if we stay on track, we will truly understand and see our selves as our Heavenly father sees us.
Elder Robert C. Oaks said "This getting to know your self process is important because it enables you to do more with your life, It permits you to come closer to realizing your full potential It lets you build on and use your strengths, your gift, and your talents to carry out your purpose in God's plan.
As we go through lives, the ups and downs make us who we are. And if we keep in mind who we truly are, we are better able to bare our burdens, and help others bare theirs..
The one thing from yesterday, that came out of every speakers mouth, "happiness is a choice"
