If we are to continue to have freedoms that come from the inspiration of the Almightyto our Founding Fathers, we must return to the God who is their true Author."
President Gordon B. Hinkley
Is any one else afraid? Banks going under, half a bushel of peaches up to 20$ now, gasoline 3.50$ (although it's higher here, and talk after this hurricane is that it will jump another 50-60 cents)
I have wondered a lot lately, if this has something to do with us taking God out of our daily lives. Taking prayer out of schools, trying to take God off our money, and out of our Pledge of Allegiance.
How do we fix this? How do we impress upon others the gravity of this situation, and how easy it would be to fix it. And, how much happier we would be as a society at large. If everyone kept in mind the basic CTR and WWJD, would anyone lie, cheat or steal? Would they try to get something for nothing? Would they sue a neighbor for 1.5 million because they cut down their tree, and it caused emotional distress? Would they terminate a pregnancy, because the baby has Down Syndrome, would they get out of their car to let someone know how mad they were, when they got cut off. Would they put their little brother in an ice bath because they wanted to teach him a lesson. Would they get so mad at their 3 month old that they bent him so far, it snapped his back. Or, would they take out a loan they knew was more than they could afford to pay back, because they "needed" a bigger house. Would our banks be in bankruptcy because they were talking people into these loans.
What is the reason the people want God out of our society, are they succeeding? How do we fix this? I wonder if it's enough to just maintain a dialog with our Heavenly Father. Besides serving in our callings and lifting up the women we visiting teach, teaching our kids that they are children of our Heavenly Father, and how to talk to Him, what else can we do? Is that enough. I think it is. I know that when we do our part, He will do his. He has promised that.

Can't take the heat? Get out of the kitchen.
WWJD. CTR. Do unto others how you would have them do unto you. All very good reminders.
I didn't think my family blog was an appropriate forum. You are welcome to email me if you would like to know what i think.

Well said. People are forgetting the reason why we are here and who put us here. He asks for so little in return.
