Help! Not Just Anybody.
Sorry, I write a title, them it triggers a song. My MIL does the same thing, one word triggers a song. But hers are usually nursery rhymes. Mine are Beatles songs a good chunk of the time.
So my dilemma. I am up to running 4 miles. That part is not the dilemma. The problem is that i put on 2 lbs also. How does that happen? I think I plateaued, but my running distance and lengths are still increasing. How do i continue to loose? I cannot possibly spend more than the 40 minutes already devoted to running. But, I also don't want to stop running to do something else. I shudder to think about starting over with 1 mile again.
Any suggestions?

I wouldn't worry about two pounds. Muscle does weigh more than fat anyway. Maybe it's muscle. I used to run and my weight would fluctuate still. No big deal. Just don't go up 10 lbs. Unless you feel it in your clothes, I wouldn't worry. You look great!
And instead of running more, I would run faster. Takes less time and it feels better to me.
Like Adrienne I think it is muscle. You go girl! That is amazing that you are running up to 4 miles. You're my hero.
I only know this because I lived it. After I had Macen (and I know that no one believes me because you didn't know me then) but I had 30 pound to lose. (it was a really crappy pregnancy, what can I say) But I had a very hard time losing it. I ended up going to a personal trainer twice becuase I had a couple of free sessions, and got some amazing tips. And since then I have learned alot by reading articles and trying different stuff.
FIRST TIP. Do not weigh yourself every week. Go to every other, or not at all.....because getting yourself healthy and fit doesn't have as much to do with wieght as you think it does.
SECOND. You probably plateaued. SO. Swith it up ALOT. Make sure you run your 4 miles like 2x a week, but change the rest of them. take it down to 3 once but run it faster in intervals if you can. Add one run where you kill yourself and run like 4.25. Then take it back down again. So just swith up your running with diferent speeds and stuff. THEN, you have do some weight training no matter how little. Just some. And throw some aerobic type stuff now and then. Just make sure that no one week is the same.
And THIRD. Run a little outide like at the track where no one can see and run like the bleachers a little too.
Yeah, really, just swith it up a little. If you take a day off during the week, then make sure it is not the same day every week.
Eating of course is big, you gotta make sure you eat lots of carbs and protien when you are running that much. even though the calories suck, it will give your muscles the fuel they need to transform from fat to steel :)
Ok, thats all for now. Sorry that was tons, but it really really changed my body.
