And I'll sing you a song, i will try not to sing out of key.
Do you want to hear about my Sunday. Holy roller coaster.
It starts out as a typical Sunday morn. I get the kids up, and fed, I shower and get myself ready, then I get the kids dressed, and 5 of 5 down for a nap. Husband gets home from meetings, I give the kids a snack, get the baby up and head out the door. During the Sacrament, 1 of 5 is picking what bread she wants, you know, the one piece at the bottom with no crust. I am really trying to be patient. 2 of 5 takes it out of her hand, she grabs it back, and in the process drops the tray. we are the first to get said Sacrament, so it is a big bready mess. (note to self, good way to score 4 of 5 a snack for remainder of meeting). I get over that quickly. No biggie, I've seen worse. So about 10 minutes later, 4 of 5 jumps up quick and says MOM. I look over, her pull up leaked. I take her out, forgetting about 5 of 5, sitting there. If i would have thought about it, i would have known to take her with, she cries every time she sees me leave. I tell 2 of 5 to go get wipes and the diaper bag. I take 4 to potty to clean her up, luckily it was mostly on outside of the diaper. Well, maybe unluckily, depending on who you ask. Then I see Jill in there with her son and ask her to grab diaper bag from Sevy. Get her cleaned up, and go back in to Chapel to see neighbor with 5 of 5,(this is my neighbor that had just fed the 7 month old fruit snacks while I took 4 of 5 to the potty because she asked to go 5 minutes earlier. I will take the blame for that, I gave her the pack of snacks because 5 of 5 was playing with it ) and another cleaning up 4's mess. Get kids cleaned up and out to the car, and remembered that I had heard a little voice tell me after the bread spill, "maybe you should go home after the Sacrament" Then laughed because i had brushed it off, thinking "I can do this"
Got her home, fed baby while 4 of 5 finished pooping, this time ON the potty.
It really wasn't that bad, I had been preparing some thought all week on a lesson I was putting together for YW's on trials, and how to bare them and why we have them. Ironic. The lesson turned out great, and the speakers were wonderful, and it was a very spiritual meeting. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
So we get home and get settled. Then got ready for the fireside at 7. We decided to take the family, because we both wanted to hear the speaker. Another uplifting hr.
About 30 minutes into it, 5 of 5 starts pushing. we decided to let her finish. and about 10 minutes later husband looks over at her (shes sitting on the floor in the aisle)and there is poop all over underneath her. Yes, my kids have now pooed on 2 of the 3 buildings in the stake, in 1 day. I get her, clean her up and go back to finish off the meeting. The other kids were great. Even 3 of 5, who doesn't have a quiet bone in his body. I only had to tell him to be quiet 4 times.
I have learned a couple of things today,
1) life is easier with 2 parents
2) poop is easier with 2 adults.
3) I really like sitting with my husband
4)My kids really are capable of sitting through a meeting. I think I am just uptight about bothering other people that are trying to listen to the speakers
5)If this had happened 5 years ago, I would have been mortified. I must have grown a little.
6) you are going to have a few trials, if you are putting together a lesson about trials
7) Sometimes it's better just to laugh

Sometimes there is nothing you can do but shrug your shoulders and grin. Life is too short to get upset over spilled bread.
Welcome to my WORLD! Just kidding yours is little more stressful right now. But I have been there. While Shawn is up on the stands and my child yells at him to WAKE UP DAD! That was a shining moment for our family. Then when my child tried to give someone a blessing during church, he was 2 years old. It all makes for a good journal entry.
Wow, what a hectic Sunday. I think the poop would have mortified me more than the bread but you know, poop happens. It's amazing how irony works.
