Free recipe Friday 16

I am excited today. As most of you know, I am the newborn coordinator/contact for the UDSF
There have been 3 babies born in the past few weeks with DS, and I get to go meet these new moms today. I love this part of the job. There is nothing like holding a baby with DS, meeting their parents, and being there to answer questions, hear their sorrows and know their pain. And is some case, hear the excitement these parents have for this new chapter. It is such a raw experience. I do it for me, almost as much as I do it for them.
For my recipe today, I'll just post what we are having for dinner tonight.
I line the bottom of a bowl with tortilla chips, then pile chili, cheese, cabbage (we always use cabbage instead of lettuce on our Mexican food) tomato onion olive and a dollop of sour cream. It's really yummy, and there's you 4 basic food groups.
Today I am grateful for good friends. I have amazing people in my life. I love that I know people that I can go to when I feel like I am lacking. I add my sisters and my mom to that list of friends. I hope that they feel the same way, I hope I can be a support to them also. I hope that I do for them, what they do for me.

Oh, and I made your shredded beef tacos the other day for friends and we loved it!

Of course you do. I am always telling Kendall how much I miss my sisters but enjoy being able to talk to you and Kristy as often as I can. I think I will try that recipe. It sounds really yummy and I'm always looking for new things to try. At some point, I would still like your crock pot chicken cordon bleu recipe :-)
