I went down stairs to put away the apples this morning and counted how many bottles I put up this year.43 Peaches
15 Apricot
28 Pear
27 tomato
29 Apples
5 chicken.
I would have liked to do twice as many tomatoes, but they didn't do as well as I had hoped. Next year. I am already excited to put our garden in for next year.

You amaze me, that is awesome!
That is awesome! I can't even imagine accomplishing all that. What kind of apples do you do?
I love the Johnathan for sauce.
I got some from Tracy that were a jonagold I think, a little softer, but good flavor. My favorite is the acane apple. very few people grow them. They were enginered for apple sauce, bright white meat, and a small core, so very little gets wasted, and a nice tart crisp bite. Trent's GMPA is was the only one I knew of that had a tree of that variety, until I went to the farmers market in Murray, but the farmer that had them was selling them for 30$ a half bushel. That's a pricey apple. I just want my own tree, or 2 or 3.
WOW Kel - That's alot of fruit!! Great job!! After reading that - i don't think I helped with very much at all!! Next year, I hope to have my own garden to be able to can!! fingers crossed!!
Lily and I gave you an award, check it out.
You are an inspiration! Hopefully next year we'll have some sort of garden... Have to jackhammer through the Texas clay soil first though :)
