I just wanted to share something i heard Michael Phelps say in an interview, that just warmed my heart.
Him and a team mate were teasing each other about one helping the other out. The teammate teased that Michael would have to name his first born after him, and Michael responded by saying " I'll have to be married first, and then see how my wife feels about that" I LOVE it. marriage first, then having kids is not a lost art in America. And, a figure in the spotlight, in the for front of our minds, is saying this. This is someone famous that i wouldn't mind my kids admiring. I'm so mad when i hear about actresses having a baby, just because they feel like it's time, with no thought about having a mother and father to raise the child. Or, men having 3, 4 or 5 kids with just as many women. I won't even bring up the statistic i heard about how many women in New Orleans were single moms. So, to hear that there are still people out there, that believe that it takes a mom and dad that are married first, to have children makes me feel that i won't be fighting a sea of immorality as I'm raising my children.
