SMILEY

I finally caughter her on camera with a smile. These are the moments that make being a mom so worth while. I only require 1 or 2 a day, but i get so many more from her. These are the things that make it okay for them to grow up. Or when your 5 yr old is throwing a temper tantrum about not getting to sit next to dad for dinner, and your 8 yr old says "that's okay mom, i'll move so he can sit next to dad tonight." Yup, that's all i need.

Okay, this one honestly grossed me out. Chickens.... yucky. But, they really like them. And who am i to ruin being a yucky kid, right? It's weird because the one 1 of 5 is holding, is a rooster. It lets you pet it and carry it around. We're going to eat it next week. She said she wants to eat it for her birthday. I know, I know, weird. But, what ever. After having these birds for almost a year now, we've decided the only thing they are really good for is eating. You know, food storage. Oh, and they are good weed control too. We need to get a dog kennel and move it throughout the yard. There is not 1 weed in their whole coop.
Unless anyone wants a rooster......

We have 2 of them, and you can't have 2 roosters. When we got the first 2, it looked like a rooster and a chicken. But they both crowed. Which i've heard of before. Then we got 6 hens, and all heck broke loose. We discovered quickly that we had 2 roosters. (cock fights at our house 8 pm) There's one really pretty one, but he's mean to the kids, nice to the hens. then the one in the picture, he's nice to the kids, mean to the hens. But, since that is the one that used to get out and come to my patio window and peck at it, i have grown a hatred toward it. If one of them is going, it's that one.
Anyway, that's it for today.

And as long as we have kid pictures posted, might as well include all of them.

I HATE chickens. They peck at you and when you run from them they chase you. EAT THEM!
