Okay, so i thought about starting this on Monday, but decided that Monday's are too busy. It is really hard for me to recover from the weekend. Especially Sunday.
So what i thought i'd do, is post them on Fridays, you try them sometime during the week, and rate them. I would also liko your recipes. I will try them, and post them. Keep them super simple. quick and easy is the key. I will also put the origin of the recipe, so if you give me a good one, you will get the credit. Also, i'm not a measure everything person, i'm a little of this a pinch of that, i love garlic, so i add it to most everything.
Here it goes.
This is my all time favorite potato recipe. I use it as a side dish with out adding meat, or as a main dish and put ham in it. I can put it together at 9 am and put it in the fridge, or the night before, or at 3 in the afternoon.
Okay, slice enough potatoes to feed your fam. I usually slice 7-8. Mix up about 2 cups milk, half and half or cream, (the heavier the better it tastes) with 3-4 tbsp whole mustard and pour a little of it on the bottom of a cassorole dish. Then layer potato, cheese, and the stuff you just mixed up. top with cheese and remaining milk and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hrs. This really is the best potato au graten recipe. Let me know what you think.
This one i got from one of those KBYU Saturday morning cooking shows. The guy that was showing the recipe said he always got asked to bring it to pot lucks.

That sounds great! I will have to try it. I will try the recipe swap with you. I have been in a slump with cooking lately and just do the same old speghetti and tacos quite a bit. Bri would love it if I actually did a crockpot in the morning so we had more time in the evening!! I know you are a huge crockpot fan, so I'm excited to hear some of your recipes!
