While the memory is still somewhat fresh in mind...... i thought i would tell the story. Stop me if you've heard this before.
So, Monday afternoon i get a call asking if i would watch 3 of my friends 7 kids. I agreed and told her that my kids were getting over a cold, she said so were her's, no biggie. That night 5 of 5's reflux came back in full force. Sleep 20 min, up 10. Neither DH nor I got any sleep. So 6:30, i ask him to stay home for a few hrs, i needed to get a little sleep before i had 8 kids here. And he at least slep a few hrs.
9 comes around i get up, and decide, while i have him home, i would take 5 of 5 to the dr. to see why her reflux meds quit working. I get a 9:30 appt, and run out the door. Turns out she has ear infections in both ears. She's 2 months old for pete's sake. I get her script, and get home about 11. DH is starting lunch for everyone, including extra kids. He's making Mac and cheese, which is relevent, i'll get to why in a minute. He gets everyone fed, and calls his boss again to tell him i just got home, he'll be there in an hr or so.
SO, 4 of 5 see's dad's cup is empty, and wants to share her juice with him. She stands up and walks along the bench to get his cup, takes it back to her seat, pours her juice into his cup and walks back along the bench with him cup and misses the bench and falls off. SPilling her juice all over the kitchen. DH picks her up pulls off her PJ's (yes, she was still in PJ's DH had them all morning) and washes her off, then brings her back to where i am feeding the baby. (she is making this horrible noise) Sit's her down and says "oh, no, her arm is broken" I look up, and yes, it is crooked. If you have never seen a broken bone..... consider yourself lucky.
So, i yell at 2 of 5, go get the neighbor across the street, ask her if she'll come watch you guys so we can talk 4 of 5 to dr's. I cal MIL and ask her if she can come right away, so neighbor doesn't have to stay more than 20 min. Luckily MIL was on lunch break at home.
Neighbor gets there while DH is splinint the arm, i am trying to get her dressed, and kids are in and out "can i see" Neighbor has her own 2 kids, and 2 of the other neighbors kids..... so we are now leaving her with 3 extra kids, 3 of mine, 2 of hers, and the 2 extra she is watching. There is juice all over the kitchen, (here's where the mac n cheese become relevent) Lunch all over the kitchen and dinning room, and 10 kids there.
We head off to the dr.s I had just seen 1 hr earlier. I called to see where you go with a kid with a broken arm. They told me to come in there, we should have just gone to Primary's because after the Xray at the dr office, the said, "we can't help you here, she needs to be sedated to fix this" She's stopped crying by now, i'm sure she is in shock......
So, after all this, i get home about 6 pm, my MIL had my house clean, and we were able to get the kids in bed. Yes, they went to bed, i needed to be done with that day.
It's now a week later, and we will go up this after noon to get it casted. Hopefully i will get some pictures to post.
DH has a cool vidio of 4 of 5 in the hospital i'll try to figure out how to post too.

It was much harder I am sure with out much sleep from the night before! I am glad things are atleast a little bit back to normal!
broken arms are never fun. You will be surprised when the cast comes off. You never know what you will find inside the cast. By the qway the Dr @primary have to be the very best at setting bones. thank heavens for them. Get some sleep.
