APRICOT


I have started the canning process. I LOVE getting out my canning stuff. I also LOVE putting it away at the end of the season. Canning is very therapeutic for me. It makes me feel like i am contributing to the welfare of my family, more than just the daily food, clothes, bath, shelter.... 1 of 5 even comes and helps, and in the process, learns how. My mom didn't can much that i can remember, so i picked up everything i know from Mother in law. Which is why i enjoy showing others how to can. Thank Erin for coming over and helping. We worked from about 9 this morning until the last batch went in the water bath about 1. And i still have most of the fruit on my tree. So, bring it on. I will be doing tomatoes in about 4 weeks, along with the beans, and a new recipe for squash. Then the pears and peaches. So, if anybody wants to learn how... my kitchen is your kitchen.! Or if you have any good, different, canned goods recipes.... I would LOVE to hear them and try them.!

Thanks Kelly. It was fun and I love learning new things!! Just let me know when you are ready for apricot freezer jam....and when I can help with something else!!

I'm so jealous. Our peas are done and we have nothing else. Looks like we'll have to try out garden again next year and see if we get something else growing.
