Actually, I read a blog pretty frequently of a person who blogs a lot about her woes. And After reading the blog I wonder, how is her situation any different than any of ours, I hope I don't complain as much. If I do, let me know, because I would be mad at myself if I gave the impression that I truly grateful for everything I have. And we do have a lot . We may not have nice cars or a fancy expensive house, or go out to eat weekly, or take vacations, or name brand clothes. But we do have a car that fits our family, a home that accommodates our needs, we have home cooked meals 3 square ones a day, and I LOVE our ghost town excursions, and I do buy name brand clothes if I run across some in good repair at DI. Or if you consider Jumping Beans a name brand.
SO here are the things we made this week. The girls got jumpers, 1 of 5 is too old for a jumper, so I made her a matching skirt. I don't know how to make boys shirts, yet. I love that Trent indulges my change in hobbies. He let me buy supplies to make ribbons, yarn when I make blankets, fabric for sewing. In return, I try to do it as inexpensively as possible. Buying yarn only when it's on sale, buying remnants for a pattern I want to make, and making ribbons only cost about 30 bucks to get started. And I promise I will not pick up an expensive hobby, like scrap booking, or violin making, furniture building. Although learning to make a violin does sound interesting........

I thought their jumpers were so cute! You're quite the seamstress, or one in the making. Good job!
Nice job. I'm proud of you for being so ambitious lately! And I totally love the red and gold floral fabric at the bottom of the dresses. Where did you get it?
You are a beautiful person and know what's most important in life.
I think you are amazing with what you have and what you do! People have lost the art of cooking and sewing. You are doing a freat thing by teaching your children how to be happy with what they have and how to survive on fresh picked vegetables from the garden homemade jams and goodies, nothing is better than that! Well, homemade bread with the homemade jam :-)
That should say great not freat! Teach them to type too!!!
