Done, almost

I am now almost done Christmas shopping. Except for one last 4 of 6 item, and odds and ends.
We are keeping it simple again this year. We do the 3 presents each to represent the 3 gifts brought to Christ. We get them one, Santa brings them one, and we get a sibling gift. SO 2 -6 of 6 will get 1 of 6 a gift. 1, 3-6 of 6 will get 2 of 6 a gift. You catch my drift. I have been looking everywhere for a set of dishes for 5 of 6. No one carries such a thing anymore. I mean the big boxes for 10 bucks. Not the puny ones for 20, or the porcelain tea set. And, does anyone have any ideas for a 9 yr old girl? I am tired of getting them something, and they open it, play with it once, then never look at it again. She wants Pet Shop things, but I think she's getting too old for that stuff. I don't know what they are into. You know, nothing is simple. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible, and inexpensive. We refuse to put Christmas on a card, so that limits us very nicely. It's easy to not go overboard when you can't.

As for ideas for a 9 year old, at michaels and joanns they have craft sets. i think they'd be fun for her. Like make a rug, or potholder, or dreamcatcher, etc. My family always gives something to do on Christmas so you don't just sit around all day. I like that idea.

Have you tried eBay for dishes? Half of our gifts this year are used off eBay (and CHEAP)!

I was going to get Paige a stationary set but I don't really care if she likes it or not. Thats what she's getting because she has everything else
